Getting Started
On this page, you can find a step by step guide to install and set up eMando
quickly. Everyone can do this...
Install eMando Operator on your machine
-
Download
and install eMando setup. - Start eMando Operator from the Start menu.
- The Setup Wizard appears (if it does not, open
the "Tools" menu and click "Setup Wizard..."). Follow the instructions.
Install eMando Remote on remote machines
-
Download
eMando Configurator on a machine you want to control remotely. - Start eMando Configurator.
- Click "New...". Click "Yes" to start the installation wizard. Follow the instructions.
eMando Remote should be connected to eMando Operator within two minutes. If the remote machine does not connect, check your router and firewall settings.
See the Diagnostic Tools in the Tools menu of eMando Operator for some useful tests. If
the controlling machine (running eMando Operator or eMando Viewer) is behind a router,
it is recommended to forward port 8550 to this machine. Likewise, it is recommended
to forward 8551 to the controlled machine (running eMando Remote or eMando Remote
Assistance).
eMando is designed to work with any router and firewall.
To start remote desktop, simply double-click the remote machine in the Connections
screen of eMando Operator. You can transfer files and folders in the Remote Explorer.
You can also use eMando Viewer instead of eMando Operator to connect instantly to
remote machines.
